10 Dogs That Changed The World

Hope all is well with you and your dog.
Did you all see that wonderful article on CNN.com about how only 10 dogs altered history? Link to article.
“Nos. 1 and 2. Strelka and Belka’s successful orbit
Laika was the first dog sent into space, but Strelka (Little Arrow) and Belka (Squirrel) — launched on Sputnik 5 in 1960 for a one-day mission — were the first to return alive. As a result, much more was learned from their mission. Strelka later gave birth to a litter of puppies, one of which, Pushinka, was given to President John F. Kennedy’s daughter, Caroline.”
What about all the other dogs that changed the planet but are not mentioned ? I bet you have a dog or have known of one that had an impact on you or the globe.
There must be a story for any breed of dog, pure bred or mixed and I intend to feature as many on this blog as possible. Dogs like people are funny in their own right and do things like chase their tails, howl when you sing, and even have some cats friends. (Ugh)I know I have.
